Crossing The Hardware-Software Divide
<aside>
Are you passionate about sustainable technology and part of a Green Software Foundation (GSF) or Sustainable and Scalable Data Center Infrastructure (SSIA) member organisation?
We're seeking enthusiastic and dedicated practitioners like you to define a new sets of standards which cross the hardware-software divide.
“For too long, making tech more sustainable has been largely about making hardware more efficient, with software often relegated to a secondary role, uniting hardware and software under one ecosystem with greening software as the core demand driver sets the stage for a future where software leads us in reducing emissions for the ICT sector as a whole.”
Sanjay Podder, Responsible AI CTO And Lead for Tech Sustainability Innovation (Green Software, AI and Cloud) at Accenture.
In early 2025 we will be bringing together subject matter experts from both software & hardware domains to participate in a virtual workshop to define the initial projects for our new Hardware Standards Working Group (HSWG).
The workshop aims to identify a set of standardized signals so that energy, telecoms, cooling, data centers and software applications can communicate and enable efficiencies across the whole tech stack.
Now is a great time to get on board and be part of this group and their first workshop.
