Summary

Are you passionate about sustainable technology and part of a Green Software Foundation member organisation?

We're seeking enthusiastic and dedicated practitioners like you to define a Software Carbon Intensity (SCI) specification tailored to measuring the carbon emissions of the web.

The Opportunity

Register your interest to participate in a virtual workshop focused on developing a domain-specific implementation of the SCI, extending it to the Web. Creating guidelines and expectations for disclosing and applying website SCI calculations.

This will lead to a new specification and the formation of a dedicated project team, who  will guide it through a consensus-driven process towards ISO certification. The final deliverable will be an ISO standard, connected with our existing standards efforts.

Further details will be available by May 2025.
